Activities;
Speaking Club:
Speaking Club is an activity which aims to make participants talk
and It is accompanied by their Native English teachers to improve
their English speaking skills. This activity consists of the
students who are from different classes but at same levels. The
students are given a comfortable and natural environment to be able
to express themselves and Speaking Club is determined in trying to
get the students to talk about current issues and daily topics. In
Speaking Club, only English is spoken. Grammar rules and vocabulary
which have been taught in lessons are reinforced by mutual
conversations. In mutual conversations, mistakes are corrected by
the teacher which is based on “ communicative language learning”
criteria. Mutual conversations aim to develop trainees’ English
speaking skills. Trainees gain not only speaking skills but also
self-confidence to speak English in the community.
The
attendance of trainees to the Speaking Clubs reinforces their
education process. With the help of the activity time-table which is
created by department of education, trainess can make their own
activity plan. Joining Speaking Clubs is very important for their
English Speaking skills.
Grammar Club:
This activity is carried out by Turkish teachers with the
participation of trainees at the same level. Grammar Club is based
on helping the students who are lacking grammar knowledge and need
extra support. It is organized by the basis of grammar subjects.
Grammar Club aims to create the
enforcement
field for grammar. Trainees can afford an opportunity to apply what
they have learned. The attendance of trainees to Grammar Club
reinforces their process of English language learning. Trainees can
make their own activity plan and joining Grammar club is very
important for their English Speaking skills.
